Chocolate fanciers celebrate an International Chocolate Day on July, 11. Chocolate Day was invented for the first time by the French in 1995. There’s an opinion that Aztecs were the first who learned to make chocolate. They called it the foods of the gods. Spanish conquistadors brought it to Europe and called chocolate the black gold, they ate it to strengthen physical forces. Later chocolate was considered the delicacy of the aristocratic families. For the greatest women it was an aphrodisiac. For example, Mother Teresa had a passion for chocolate. Now it’s well known that chocolate contains elements helping to relax. Dark kinds of chocolate stimulate emission of endorphins, hormones of happiness influencing pleasure centers, lightening the mood. It can also slow down the process of ageing.
