Jan’14 - "Old New Year" (Stary Novy God) is coming! |
Dear Customers!
Second New Year recognized in Russia and Ukraine is coming – it’ called “Old New Year” and is celebrated on Jan’14.
Old New Year marks the changing of the year according to the old Julian calendar, instead of the Gregorian calendar that the world officially uses today. The New Year by the Julian calendar is still informally observed. The tradition of celebrating the coming of the New Year twice is widely enjoyed: Jan'1 (New Year) and Jan'14 (Old New Year).
That day is a special one in the modern Russian culture and is celebrated in many former Soviet republics such as Russia, Armenia, Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Belarus and Kazakhstan and in some Eastern European countries where the Orthodox Church is the prevailing faith.
Dear Customers, don’t forget to congratulate Your Sweet Lady from TopLop.com with that day. She is waiting for your attention and care!
