There can be no mutual affection without trust. The third reason is lack of self-confidence. Look at strong people. Will a person like that pester you with a showdown? Of course not. Only the person lacking self-confidence will not be sure in his partner. The fourth reason is the fear of loneliness. A jealous man is afraid not only to lose you, but also to remain alone again. He wants to be sure you need him and be at least the hero in your eyes. And such simple words as “I love you” calm the jealous man down. They say what we are afraid of will surely happen.
